Gary Houtz Benefit Fund
At the end of May, Gary Houtz, a renowned tatting teacher, was involved in a head-on collision. He survived the accident but his recovery will take quite some time. To help Gary with expenses not covered by insurance, DS9Designs will contribute 10% of all sales during the month of July to the Benefit Fund established for Gary at Southwest Colorado Federal Credit Union, 15 Bodo Dr, Durango, CO 81301.
All Valdani hand-dyed thread is 100% colorfast and is available in 500 meter spools. Thread is from Romania.
Valdani thread is a softer thread than King Tut 40/3 or DMC size 80. It is slightly bigger than King Tut and fuzzier. Tatters who tat tightly need to close rings gently. The picture below shows King Tut 40/3 thread, color 915; Valdani 35wt color M33; and DMC tatting thread size 80, color 107. Models are shown actual size.
